Courtroom Observations
Applicants seeking registration or official state-level court interpreter designations must submit an approved report documenting the completion of 20 hours of courtroom observation.

How to use

2. Actively streaming courts display as "Live Now" at the top of the list and in blue on the map.
3. Users can search courts and sort by judge or hearing officer and proceeding type.
4. Users can click around each county to find available live streams.
5. Clicking "Watch" takes users to each court's streaming service.

Tips on courtroom observations

You may start your observations anytime, even before you attend the Orientation Workshop.

You may observe in person or via the above link as long as the event is livestreamed.

Use the form posted on your state's official website to document your observations.

Observation in federal courts count, but up to 5 hours, in person.

You can observe proceedings interpreted in any language.

You receive double credits when you observe proceedings with the assistance of a certified interpreter.
